Refrigerated Truck The refrigerated truck or refrigerated truck is a forwarder equipped with a refrigerated body and a refrigeration unit. It is used for the transport of perishable foodstuffs at controlled temperature. The ATP regulations (Agreement relating to the international transport of perishable foodstuffs), in force in more than 50 countries, define three cold classes: class A (from 0 to 12 °), class B (from -10 to + 12 °) and class C (from -20 to + 12 °). The refrigeration unit allows the refrigerated truck to generate cold, unlike the insulated truck which can only maintain a certain temperature for a limited time. The fridge box is an isothermal box which can be mono temperature (a single storage space for goods) or multi temperature if it is equipped with one or more partitions allowing foodstuffs to be stored at different temperatures in separate compartments. The Lamberet and Chereau brands are specialized in the manufacture of refrigerated boxes. Some refrigerated trucks are designed for specific uses: transporting meat for butcher shops (fridge for meat), transporting flowers on shelves (special fridge for flowers). The fridge box can be on two levels (double level fridge), and some are equipped with a tail lift.
