The chassis truck is a truck only composed of a cab and a chassis: it is adaptable depending on the needs. The chassis carrying structure can support a tipper, a flatbed, a box, a tank… This type of truck is appreciated by companies whose business is specific and that would install a tailor-made bodywork on the chassis.
The chassis is an assembly of metal parts: it is composed of spars and crossties which are connected with each other and fixed with rivets. Spars are bars which are present along the truck, and crossties are spread across its width – they are perpendicular to spars. Fixations are used to secure body on the frame, usually made with reinforced steel. The chassis truck can be extended, raised or belittled according to the type of cargo transported, and benefit from an auxiliary crane or a tailgate lift.
