A flatbed truck is a truck whose frame is covered by a flatbed which can be equipped with slatted sites in order to maintain the cargo. A flatbed truck with slatted sides and a tarpaulin flatbed is called a tarp truck. Flatbed trucks have sometimes an auxiliary crane which is fixed at the front or the back of the flatbed. It allows the workers to load and unload goods in the truck. Some flatbed trucks are belittled, raised or extended according to the type of cargo transported.
We also find flatbed trucks created for a specific use: beverage delivery, iron carriage, straw carriage, gas carriage or panel carriage. Beverage delivery truck, which often has tarpaulin, can contain beverage barrels or pallets of bottles. The iron carrier can transport long metal bars or railway sleepers. The straw carrier is used to move a large amount of straw stack. The gas carrier is equipped to transport gas bottles, and the panel carrier is used to move flat and rectangular objects (billboards for example).
