A new diesel version for the traction

The Vito Traction by Mercedes is a reliable commercial vehicle that adapts to every kind of road. Mercedes recently equipped their van with a new engine.

A new diesel engine from the partnership with Renault

Mercedes equips the Vito Traction with a small 4-cylinder engine. The manufacturer used the "downsizing" method, which means putting a smaller engine in a vehicle. Downsizing is the process to reduce the cylinder of an engine. However, this technic doesn't change the final output of the engine and improves the performances while reducing the polluting emissions. This engine associated with a manual 6-gear gearbox is available on every model of the range. All the bodywork lengths are affected by the change (2,5, 2,8 and 3,05 tonnes). The engine is available with two different output, 88 HP (109 CDI) and 114 HP (111 CDI) and a maximum torque of 270 Nm for both configurations.

A commercial van that meets all requirements

In the beginning, this new engine equipment reduces the fuel consumption of the vehicle. This engine's maintenance can be done every 40.000km or two years. With the 111 CDI version, the Vito goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 14,4 seconds. This commercial van can tow up to 2 000 kg for a maximum weight of 4 800 kg with trailer. With all these characteristics, the Vito traction by Mercedes is reliable.
