MAN Tractor TGATGA (for Trucknology Generation A) is a heavy range of carriers and tractors produced by the German manufacturer MAN since 2000. It replaces the F2000 range launched in 1994. The MAN TGA was voted "Truck of the year" " in 2001.
Equipped at launch with a D28 engine (12.816-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine with 460 horsepower), the MAN TGA was subsequently fitted with the D20 and D26 engines. It benefited from common rail injection from 2004, as well as the MAN BrakeMatic braking system (EBS, ABS, PriTarder retarder), the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) and the MAN PM-KAT particulate filter .
Available with different axle configurations, from 4X2 to 8X8, the TGA supports a GVW of 19 tons and GVW of 40 tons. It can be fitted with a wide variety of bodywork: tipper, concrete mixer, platform, drill ... There are 6 cab versions for the MAN TGA: M (short cab), L (extended cab), LX (improved cab) , then XL, XLX and XXL for the most spacious cabins.
In 2006 the TGA range was replaced by the TGS (heavy transport for construction and distribution) and TGX (long haul) ranges.
