Schmitz Cargobull and AddSecure strengthen transport fleet connectivity
Schmitz Cargobull, a trailer manufacturer, and AddSecure, a specialist in secure IoT solutions, announce a partnership aimed at improving the management and connectivity of road vehicles. This cooperation is part of a broader strategy to digitize fleets and support large international transport groups.
Centralized telematics data for greater efficiency
Information collected by the onboard equipment of trailers, including the tire pressure monitoring system, can now be more easily integrated and shared across the different systems of carriers. A dedicated application will soon allow these data to be securely centralized via AddSecure’s FleetVision portal, providing real-time tracking of vehicle performance and facilitating decision-making while reducing costs associated with handling dispersed information.
Towards scalable solutions
The partnership also foresees the development of retrofit solutions for temperature-controlled transport, aimed at reducing the environmental impact of the cold chain without compromising operational performance. This approach aligns with a long-term vision of large-scale deployment and scalable tools for international fleets.
