Scania has developed a new engine that consumes less fuel while maintaining a high level of performance. Named Super 11 and now available, it is primarily intended for transport applications requiring optimal energy efficiency. 85% of the parts in the new engine come from the proven Super 13 model. Compared to its predecessor, the Super 11 is 85 kg lighter. It also offers superior efficiency—up to 7% better than the 9-liter engine in the range. To meet various needs (urban areas, regional transport, etc.), the new Super 11 comes in three power versions. The first delivers 350 horsepower and 1,800 Nm of torque. The second offers 40 more horsepower and an additional 200 Nm. The most powerful version produces 430 hp and 2,200 Nm of torque. This engine also meets Euro 4, 5, and 6 environmental standards.

Up to 600 km Range for the E-Tech T

Renault Trucks has just announced the upcoming launch of a new version of its electric truck, the E-Tech T. Designed primarily for long-distance transport, it will offer a minimum range of over 600 km on a single charge. This improvement was made possible by the development of a new component called the e-axle—an electric axle that reduces the space taken up by electric motors and the transmission, grouping them at the rear of the truck. This frees up room near the chassis rails for additional batteries. This addition will allow the E-Tech T to travel at least 600 km without recharging. According to the manufacturer, this range should suit most use cases and attract new customers seeking to green their fleets.
