Primafrio, one of the leader transport companies on the European market for quick-frozen and deep-frozen foods, just announced the addition of 280 DAF New XF in their vehicle fleet, which already has more than 2000 tractor-trailers. The directors want to continue their development strategy in Europe. This truck received the "International Truck Of the Year 2018" award.

A first test order for 30 vehicles

The order for 280 DAF New XF has been thought long and hard by the Primafrio directors. The decision was made after an extensive market survey. It was very important that the next vehicle could guarantee operating results with a fuel consumption decrease.

Following the market survey, Primafrio has ordered 30 DAF New XF. After reviewing the operating costs of these models, the directors chose to order 250 more vehicles.

A delicate compromise between economy and ecology

The interest from Primafrio for the New XF by DAF doesn't only have to do with the financial part of it. Indeed, the company has been interested in sustainable development for the last several years. They were looking for a vehicle with very little fuel consumption.

Primafrio has ordered DAF New XF equipped with a 12,9l PACCAR MX-13 engine developping 480 hp. These engine help reduce the fuel consumption up to 7 % in comparison with other vehicles. They also issue less carbone dioxide.

The future drivers of the DAF New XF will take advantage of the comfort of the Super Space Cab. It is one of the most comfortable cab on the market currently.
