Iveco delivers its 1000th Stralis NP 400
Iveco took a important step in the clean vehicle industry. Indeed, one of their products, the Stralis NP 400, celebrates its 1000th unit sold. This model uses compressed natural gas (CNG).
Verbio, biomethane producer
It's with the purchase of five Stralis NP 400 byVerbio Logistik GmbH (branch of Verbio Vereinigte BioEnergie AG) that Iveco has reached the 1000th Stralis NP 400 sold. One of the characteristics of Verbio is that the company owns its own methanation unit in Schwedt, Germany. The five Stralis NP 400 recently bought will be using biomethane, made from straw. They will join a neutral truck fleet in terms of CO2 emissions.
The choice of an efficient and environmentally friendly vehicle
Verbio chose the Stralis NP 400 CNG mono-fuel. They are equipped with a 400hp engine. These vehicles have an autonomy of more than 500km. It is important to note that these vehicles don't produce lots of emissions of nitrogen oxides, but these vehicles are rather quiet in comparison with Diesel vehicles.Iveco announced that they produces two times less noise.
