Goodyear buys Ventech Systems GmbH and offers a solution for connected tires

Goodyear just announced the purchase of Ventech systems GmbH, a specialised company in fully-automated tire inspection. This acquisition, which took place after three years of collaboration between the two companies, will allow the tire manufacturer to increase their offer in terms of fleet management especially regarding connected tires.

    Innovative solutions for fleet management

For three years, Goodyear Proactive Solutions worked with Ventech Systems to integrate their collect and data analysis capacities in their fleet management solution, has declared Christopher Helsel, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.

From now on, regarding the Goodyear Proactive Solutions service, the tire manufacturer will be able to offer people in the transport industry fast and efficient solutions for tire maintenance, with the purpose of time optimisation and the total cost of fleet exploitation.

Automatic inspection of the tires with the Ventech Systems technology

The Ventech Systems technology allows an automated and complete control of the tires through a software. The results of this inspection that happens during the daily service are transfered in a database that then analyses them to provide a better fleet management.

Goodyear, which already launched last year, the Goodyear Proactive Solutions service in Europe, in the Middle-East and in Africa, is already confident about their connected tire services. “The feedback from our clients have been great and we consider this as an opportunity to extend our service", says Christopher Helsel.
