New Volvo FH awarded the IF product design award
The iF international product design forum took place February 28th 2014 in Munich, Germany. This award, for the last 60 years, rewards creations based on their design, features and ergonomy.This year, the international jury chose to award the new Volvo FH in the first category : transportation design and special vehicles.

Focus on the iF award for the transport category
The iF Product Design Award is internationally recognized. When a product is awarded the iF award, it means the product has a unique and innovative design. In the transport category, the new FH from Volvo Trucks was given the award based on the following criteria : design, innovation, respect of the environment, features and safety. With this award, Volvo shows their clients that the Volvo FH performances measure up to their expectations.
The Volvo FH, an exceptional design
“When creating the new Volvo FH, we focused on design and the emotional aspect of this truck”, explained Rikard Orell, Volvo Trucks design director. Indeed, the Volvo FH design offers an exceptional work space for the driver. For this new truck, the manufacturer invested in fuel economy, manoeuvrability, comfort and driver’s safety.
