On the occasion of the trade fair «Trailer 2011» in Kortrijk (Belgium), an expert jury voted the new Mercedes-Benz Actros «Truck of the Year 2012». Thus, the Actros has been awarded the Truck of the Year title for the fourth time.

Mercedes-Benz, the industry leader
The truck manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is the most successful participant of this competition that rewards technological advancement. Last year, the German manufacturer's Atego model was awarded the title of the Truck of the Year 2011 at the IAA International Motor Show in Hannover.
In 2012, the jury of the industry journalists from 24 European countries chose the winner based on several key criteria: innovations for road transportation, energy savings, emissions, safety, driveability and comfort. With its 161 points, the Mercedes Actros model was far ahead of its competitors, its runners-up only managed to obtain 67 and 50 points respectively.
