Hydrocurner truck A hydrocurner truck is a road machine used for sanitation work, such as unblocking and cleaning pipe networks or emptying septic tanks. The water sewer truck is equipped with a tank and a high pressure pump. We speak of a combined or mixed water separator when the vehicle is equipped with a vacuum pump and a sludge compartment in the tank, which allows it to suck up cleaning residues.
Most hydrocureurs are trucks over 3.5 tonnes, Renault, Mercedes, Iveco, DAF or Volvo. There are also water-cleaning trailers and semi-trailers, as well as utility vehicles that, thanks to their small size, can work in tight spaces. Some manufacturers specialize in sanitation vehicles (Rivard, Chouette).
To meet the requirements of their customers in terms of sustainable development, manufacturers have developed recycler hydrocurner trucks, which save water resources: while a conventional hydrocurner consumes around 5,000 m3 of drinking water per year, a rebreather hydrocurner can operate with wastewater which is reused after filtration.
