New Renault Trucks T Tanker for the transport of hazardous materials
Renault Trucks offers a new version of the Renault Trucks T, awarded the Truck of the year 2015. The Renault Trucks T Tanker is designed for the transport of hazardous materials, chemicals and perishable goods.
The transport of hazardous materials or perishable goods follow specific requirements and regulations. That's why Renault Trucks meets the demand of their clients by offering the Renault Trucks T Tanker. With an improvement of the of the useful load and increased safety, it is certified ADR (International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road).
Improvement of the useful load of the standard Renault Trucks T
For the Tanker version, Renault Trucks optimised the empty weight of the truck to significantly increase the useful load. Thus, most of the truck pieces such as the rims, the air tank as well as the fuel tank are in aluminium, a lighter material, and the fifth wheel has been reduced. As a Sleeper Cab, the useful load can be improved of nearly 270 kilos in comparison with a model of the standard T range.
Advanced safety for the transport of hazardous materials
With an all new control system of the tyres pressure (Tyre Pressure monitoring System), the driver can now control the level of pressure from the dashboard and avoid the risk of under-inflation. The system can also optimise the fuel consumption and the tyres tear. The mounted tyres on the Renault Trucks T Tanker are the best on the market for braking distance.
Equipped with the Protect pack, the T Tanker has a speed regulator with the Adaptive Cruise Control (AAC), turning lights, automatic light activation, xenon headlights and headlight washers.
Finally the Renault Trucks T Tanker is equipped to respect the norms for vehicles construction. The model has a protection shield on the exhaust line, a battery cutout and an orange torch inside the cab.
