DAF launches the LF extra quiet distribution truck
The Dutch manufacturer expands its Euro 6 range and introduces their new truck.
After the launch of the DAF CF and XF in "Silent" version, DAF unveils their new distribution truck extra quiet. It is specially designed to deliver in urban and regionl areas.Thus, transport professionals could without any problem load and unload their goods in spaces where noise are restricted at night. This allows to optimise the vehicle's availability and its efficiency. Indeed, the noise level of the LF truck is close to 72 dB(A), a level that can't be exceeded to obtain the « Quiet Truck » certification. With the expansion of the Euro 6 range, the manufacturer wants to show its philosophy « DAF Transport Efficiency ». The goal is to improve the trucks performance while reducing the operating costs and optimising the vehicle's availability.
Technical characteristics
The new extra quiet DAF LF truck weighs 7.5 tonnes. Equipped with a PACCAR PX-5 4.5-liter engine, it offers different outputs ranging from 112kV/152 hp to 135 kW/184 hp. The powerchain is related to the AS Tronic automatic gearbox with 6 gears. The LF Silent is available in 4x2. The client can choose between a day cab, wide day cab or a sleeper cab, as well as numerous wheel base options.
