Solutrans 2015 : Lots of innovations dedicated to transport solutions

With more than 850 exhibitors from 16 countries and nearly 37 000 visitors, Solutrans brings together urban and road transport profesionnals. What will take place : innovations, conferences, TW shows and awards.

Innovation for Solutrans

Solutrans is once again an important platform for innovation in the truck industry.

Organised by the CCI of Lyon, the « Transport solution innovation award » created in 2011, is awarded to the best innovative solutions by the exhibitors. Again this year, there are two categories : Bodybuilders/Manufacturers and Equipment Manufacturers.. For each of these two categories, 4 awards will be given : gold, bronze, silver and  sustainable development.

Award for “International Trucks Of the Year 2016”

This year, the « International Trucks Of the Year » award will take place during the exhibition, « International Van Of the Year » and « lnternational Pick-Up Award ». Organised by the CCI of Lyon on November 17th, 2015, the awards will be awarded by a jury made of journalists specialising in commercial vehicles and transport, from all across Europe.

The renowed "International Trucks of the Year" award is given to a truck put on the market the previous year, with the best performances in terms of efficiency in road transport.  Several criteria are taken into account : technical innovations, comfort, safety, manoeuvrability, energy savings, environmental  impact and acquisition costs. Which model will succeed to the Renault Trucks T, International Trucks Of the Year 2015 ?

The international van of the year award is based on efficiency performances for merchandise road transport, the useful load and productivity, environmental protection and people's safety. It will be given at the same time than the international pick-up award. For 2015, the new version of the Iveco Daily won the award.
