Iveco, Scania and Volvo unveil their new construction trucks

Iveco Trakker AD340T40B and Astra HD9 84.50

Iveco introduced the new Trakker mixer AD340T40B. It is equipped with a Cursor 9 Euro 6 engine of 400 hp and a ZF EuroTronic II gearbox. Available in 8X4, this new Iveco construction truck has a simple reduction tandem axle,  pneumatic suspensions and disk brakes. It is made for static missions with its Hi-SCR engine technology with particles filter.

Astra, branch of Iveco, unveiled the HD9 84.50 : with a GVWR of 50 tonnes and 500 hp, this new model is designed for demanding quarry works.

Scania G410CB8X4HHZ and P410CB8X4MHZ

Scania introduced the G410CB8X4HHZ with a Cox tipper and a P410CB8X4MHZ equipped with a Liebherr concrete mixer. The P and G series trucks are parts of the "Off-road" trucks as called by Scania. They have a Euro 6 engine with EGR/SCR or only SCR for high torque at low engine speed. The P series trucks develop maximum 450 hp for a torque of 2350 Nm. Those from the G series have 490 hp and a torque of 2550 Nm.

The Opticruise automated gearbox offers 3 programmable modes : Off-road, Standard and Power. The all-terrain mode « Off-road » is to be used on damaged terrain or loose soil : it guarantees a permanent pull.

The new R4100 Retarder, with a brake torque of 4100 Nm, increases by 17% the maximum brake torque. It reduces the brake use by 75 %.

Equipped with a steel bumper, a 35-tonne towing capacity and several take-offs, Scania's construction trucks were desgined for the hardest works.

Volvo FH16, FMX 8X4, FMX 6X6 and FL 4X4

Volvo Trucks displayed 5 Euro 6 construction truck models :

• the FH16 wide load 8X4 tridem tractor unit
• the FMX 8X4 rigid, pneumatic rear suspension with Meiller tipper
• the FMX 8X4 tridem, pneumatic rear suspension with CIF tipper
• the FMX 6X6 ti-ride rigid with Meiller tipper
• the FL 4X4 rigid

The Volvo FH16, « most powerful vehicle in the world » according to the manufacturer, has 750 hp and a torque of 3550 Nm. It has a ultra resistant bumper and can carry up to 200 tonnes. The Volvo FMX also has a construction range with an important engine function. The Volvo FL has an excellent road-holding abilities.

Technical characteristics of the new Volvo construction trucks
