Daf introduces its PACCAR MX-11 Euro 6 engine

PACCAR MX-11, an efficient and quiet engine
The PACCAR MX-11 engine is a 6-cylinder and 10.8 liter, which meets the requirements of the Euro 6 norm concerning the polluting emissions. Strong, it is made of graphite iron and can only be maintained every 125 000km. The innovative principle of the new PACCAR MX-11 engine limits the vibrations and therefore reduces the noise nuisance.
An exhaust aftertreatment system for Euro 6
The demands of the Euro 6 norm are particularly strict. In order to reach them, the PACCAR MX-11 engine has a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system as well as an active particulate filter. The efforts for the optimization of the temperature in the particulate filter have helped reduce the cleaning intervals up to 500 000km. In order to adapt to all bodywork types, the SCR system and the particle filter can be set up separately.
5 power output levels for the PACCAR MX61 engine
For an urban use or short distances, Daf offers the 290hp, 330hp and 370hp versions with couples of 1200, 1400 and 1650 Nm of its PACCAR MX-11 engine. The 400hp and 440hp versions will be available for trucks requiring more power.
