Thanks to these tests, the make can assure their clients that the new Volvo FH performances will measure up to their expectations.

All the components from the last Volvo FH sorely tested
Chassis, cab, electrical system, the Volvo FH different components were tested separately. The truck then withstood constant tremors for approximately 8 weeks. It drove 1 250 000 km in a short period of time to meet the requirements of the endurance tests. Different strategic points of the Volvo FH were scrutinized by the make’s engineers: reliability, energy economy, noise nuisances, braking, driving comfort, trailer traction, etc.
The new Volvo FH can face winter in extreme conditions
The new Volvo FH drove 20 000km on the Volvo test track in Kiruma. In a remote part in northern Sweden, the thermometer can go down to -44°C. The Volvo Trucks then drove up and down the country exposing it the important temperature changes. Volvo Trucks took up the challenge and passed : their new Volvo FH proved itself in extreme conditions.
