Truck of the year 2013: Iveco Stralis Hi-Way awarded !
As it’s done each year, a jury of journalists from 25 professional magazines awarded the “Truck of the year” price during the IAA in Hannover. And the Iveco Stralis Hi-Way got the title hands down, beating out the Mercedes Antos, the Ford Cargo and the Fuso Canter. The criteria to be elected “Truck of the Year 2013” were severe: fuel efficiency, ecology, safety, road holding and driver’s comfort.

The “Truck of the Year” price
Each year, since 1976, the jury of 25 leading commercial vehicle magazines in Europe awards this price to the truck they think has the best qualities and is technically completed. In 2011 and 2012, Mercedes-Benz was awarded the price for the Mercedes Atego and the lastest Mercedes Actros. But for the 2013 “Truck of the Year” price, Iveco set high standards for its Stralis Hi-Way and finally beat the Mercedes Antos.
Iveco Stralis Hi-Way, a manufacturer’s pride
Iveco’s CEO, Alfredo Altavilla, celebrates the fact that the company got the 2013 “Truck of the Year” award and emphasizes the make’s will to make this new Stralis tractor unit “ a reference in terms of productivity, quality and value to the client”. Amongst the most important innovations of this Iveco Stralis Hi-Way, there is the Hi-eSCR exhaust gas aftertreatment system and the Cursor FPT Industrial motorization which reduces the fuel consumption of the truck. The Iveco Stralis Hi-Way is already ready for the introduction of the Euro 6 norm.
