Utility - Utility vehicle A light commercial vehicle or LCV is a vehicle for professional use with a GVW of less than 3.5 tonnes. While the larger utility models are akin to trucks, they are nonetheless a very distinct category of vehicle. Assigned to the transport of goods or people, utilities most often circulate in the city center and over short distances. They are mainly used by craftsmen and businesses (construction, commerce, hotels and restaurants). There are two main types of utilities: closed box utilities and chassis cab utilities, to which many bodywork can be attached: platform, tipper, fridge box, Savoyard box, etc. Some utility vehicles are designed for a very specific use: horses, ambulance, tow truck, food truck, furniture lift ... all professionals are welcome at the club! The utility van or pickup truck is arguably the most common body. Often used for moving, the van can be multipurpose and is sometimes equipped with a tail lift that makes it easy to load or unload.
