Scania RR is a range of long-haul distribution and transport tractors and carriers produced by the Swedish manufacturer Scania since 2004, replacing the 4-Series. Streamline is the name of Scania's R and G-range trucks intended for long-haul transport. The Scania R Streamline is optimized for low fuel consumption.
Scania Rs are equipped with a V8 engine, which varies in power from 310 to 730 horsepower. The R730 is thus one of the most powerful tractors on the market. Scania Rs are available with different axle configurations, from 4X2 to 8X4. There are three cab versions for the Scania R: Classic, Highline and Topline.
For the transition to the Euro 6 standard, Scania Rs were fitted with EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) and SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction). They also benefit from the Opticruise automated gearbox, Scania Driver Support (real-time driving assistance) and ACC ("Adaptive Cruise Control").
Praised by truck drivers for its power and looks, the Scania R has been voted "Truck of the Year" twice, in 2005 and 2010.
