Renault Kerax - Truck Renault KeraxKerax is a range of construction carriers and tractors built by Renault since 1997.
Kerax trucks, often fitted with a tipper body useful for heavy construction work, have a GVW of 19 to 26 tonnes. Kerax tractors have a GVW of 19 tonnes and a GVWR of 44 tonnes.
Equipped with an engine with a power of between 260 and 490 horsepower, the Kerax has a displacement of 9.8 or 11.1 liters. There are three cabin versions for the Kerax: Short, Global or Deep. The differential lock gives the Kerax excellent handling in rough terrain, and gearshifting is made easier by the cable shift, Servoshift and Super H shift.
Recently, Renault launched two special versions of the Kerax: the Kerax Xtrem and the Kerax Adventure. The Kerax Xtrem is particularly suitable for work in mines and quarries: thanks to its reinforced parabolic rear suspension, it can withstand a GVW of 50 T. The Kerax Adventure, equipped with a bull bar, pays homage to rally trucks .
