Renault Gamme G - Renault Gamme GE Truck In 1980, the manufacturers Berliet and Saviem united to form Renault Vehicles Industriels (RVI). The G range is one of the first ranges of carriers and road tractors produced by RVI; it benefited from the expertise of Berliet for the engine and of Saviem for the cabin. Equipped with a 9.8-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine, the Renault G has an output of 180 to 340 horsepower. It can support a GVWR of 26 tons (carrier), and a GVWR of 44 tons (tractor). The braking system (air brakes and ABS), the air suspensions and the manual gearbox (9 or 18 gears) are all standard equipment that made the success of the G range. was also voted Truck of the Year in 1983. Often equipped with a tipper body, the Renault G truck is also used for road works. The most common axle configurations are 4X2 or 6X4. The Renault G range was replaced by the Manager in 1992 and then by the Premium Distribution in 1996.
