Volvo rolls out bespoke fuel management service

Volvo will launch its fuel management service this year under its Fuelwatch umbrella.

Chris Evans, Volvo Fuelwatch manager, explains: "There are a lot of telematics providers out there making promises about 'buy this product and it will save umpteen thousand pounds' - of course it won't: it provides you with information.

"Our fuel management service is there to help people who haven't got the time or the skill to analyse the information."

The service is bespoke and can range from simply providing a helpdesk for operators to call, to a full audit of all parts of a transport operation.

Evans says a three-month consultancy pilot has already been carried out with an un-named operator.
