Digital tachograph only a mouse click away

New download devices from VDO claims to make digital tachograph (DTCO) data just a mouse click away. The company has introduced its latest innovation in remote download technology in preparation for the VDO 1381 digital tachograph.

The fleet manager can now download mass memory and driver card data straight from the office, regardless of whether the truck is parked on the company’s premises or is driving away from base. The remote download device (DLD) establishes a wireless connection between the vehicle and the office.

The new DTCO 1.3 allows intelligent data transfer via short range wireless or wide range mobile communications connectivity whilst optimising conventional downloading and data printouts.
