The new range of DXi2.5 and DXi3 engines is specially designed for everyday use in an urban environment by incorporating outstanding pickup at low engine speeds and an extended range of application. The choice of EGR technology complies with Euro 4 standards. Available in 110, 130 and 150 hp ratings, it delivers punch and flexibility of use.

On the 130 hp version, for example, maximum torque is available from 1,800 rpm.

To keep the tightest rein on operating costs, Renault Master brings consumption down to a record low: higher quality combustion and high precision multiinjection reduce consumption and increase performance. With the new Quickshift robotised gearbox, this fuel saving can reach 5% with 8.4 L/100 km (120 hp, mixed cycle).

Renault Trucks has chosen EGR (Exhaust Gas Recycling) technology with Catalyser to comply with the Euro 4 standard.

Recycling exhaust gases is designed to lower combustion gas temperature, reducing the formation of Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) without increasing particle formation.

The Catalyser on the exhaust processes the hydrocarbons (HC) and carbon oxide (CO), producing carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O). EGR is a tried and tested technology used in cars and is also applicable to LCVs, which can then benefit from its proven reliability.

Particularly well adapted to an LCV's average mileage, this technology requires no specific maintenance.

Axles

* Limited Slip Differential (optional) on Maxity 110 and 130 hp. When a wheel fails to grip on a slippery surface and cannot transmit the torque to the ground, the limited slip differential transfers torque to the other wheel to help keep the vehicle moving.
* Low axle ratio available on the Maxity 3.5 t 110 hp. This low ratio is specially designed for driving at low speeds and stop and start applications.

Braking

The Renault Maxity is fitted with 4 disc brakes for good performance and greater efficiency. New generation ABS is supplied as standard or as an option according to model. The EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution) (optional), paired with ABS, integrates the braking system into the vehicle's electronics, delivering gradual and more efficient braking:

* Maximum braking performance in both front and rear
* High vehicle stability under all circumstances
* Reduced oversteering during braking (loss of rear directional stability when the brakes are applied)
* Brake durability.

Easy Hill Start

A greatly appreciated new feature improving comfort and safety, the optional Easy Hill Start system allows the vehicle to start on gradients without using the parking brake - and with no risk of rolling backwards.

The EHS (optional) also eliminates the need to maintain pressure on the brake pedal while waiting at traffic lights or in traffic.
